After six years serving at Lutherhaven, Bethany “Summitt” Andrews will be stepping down from her position as Director of Engagement this fall.

Bethany joined the Lutherhaven team in September 2019 as Lutherhaven’s first Director of Engagement. Prior to this role, she was no stranger to Camp. She served previously as a camp counselor, ministry impact worker, Director of Christian Education intern, and Program Assistant between 2011-2016. Over the past six years she has worked with numerous teachers and Outdoor Education students, rental guests, Lutherhaven’s Women’s Retreat ladies, summer weekend camp families, and many more. We will miss her!

This has been a season for change and new adventures, for both Bethany and Lutherhaven’s ministry. However, something that does not change are Lutherhaven’s values of Christ and Relationships. This is 100% a decision that Bethany has prayerfully considered, and as difficult as it is to see her go, we are supportive of God’s new calling for her and affirm her obedience to His leading. The ministry of Lutherhaven gets the honor of ministering to, and walking with, Bethany through this transition.

Bethany is not sure what her new adventure looks like just yet and she will be around through this summer and into early fall. Be sure to thank her in person over the next few months. Bethany has offered to be flexible and assist with this transition as needed. Watch our website and social media for details on filling the next full-time position at Camp Lutherhaven very soon. In the meantime, please lift Bethany and Camp Lutherhaven in prayer as we look to our Lord to direct our paths and put our trust in Him for what comes next.

God is good! God is faithful! He abundantly provides! Lutherhaven and Bethany are blessed that our futures are His.
