70th Anniversary & Chicken Dinner 2019

70 years strong!
You’re invited to Camp Lutherhaven’s 70th Anniversary Celebration happening on Sunday, July 21, 2019!

Seventy years and counting! That’s how long the ministry of Camp Lutherhaven has been touching lives for Jesus. We will be celebrating all year long, but are planning to celebrate this summer in a special way during the Chicken Dinner which is July 21, 2019. Save the date because we would love to have you join us and lend your voice as we give thanks for God’s continued blessing to the many campers, families, staff, churches, schools, and other organizations that have called Lutherhaven home. Lots of summer activities are planned along with a walk down memory lane, looking back at many of the special memories.
That weekend is also a summer staff reunion so you may just catch your counselor there the same weekend!  There’s no need to pre-register, just come for the worship celebration at 11am with dinner and activities to follow

Rev. Logan Scheiwe

Our guest speaker will be Rev. Logan Scheiwe.  Logan and his wife Sara live in Napoleon, OH along with their daughter, Bella, and pug, Lily. Logan has served as a pastor at St. Paul, Napoleon for 4 years and was previously a pastor in Irving, TX for 4 years. Logan and Sara worked a combined 7 summers at Lutherhaven (2001-05) and have led 3 weekends of Family Camp over recent years. They met at Camp and became engaged while in its parking lot on a snowy March evening. Throughout their years, Logan and Sara played as both odds and evens in Capture the Flag. While their allegiance is divided, their love of the game is unwavering..

Prices, paid at the door are:
Adults (Ages 13+) $10/person
Children ages 6-12: $6/person
Children 5 & under: free

The dinner will include chicken, vegetables, potato salad, drinks, dinner roll, and dessert.
Over the years, funds raised from the proceeds of the Chicken Dinner have assisted many areas of Camp. This year, the funds raised will be used for Camp’s Campership Fund which helps qualifying families better afford a faith camp adventure.

We hope you’ll join us for this special day!

Vantage Point Retreats

Lutherhaven is partnering with Run Hard. Rest Well. to help people rewrite their personal stories of overload by re-introducing people to Biblical, transformative rhythms of work and rest.

Vantage Point 1/2-day retreats spotlight hope, help and four biblical rhythms of rest – Sabbath, Sleep, Stillness (personal prayer) and Solitude (personal retreat) set in the context of life in the 21st century. Why? So that people of all ages and walks of life are equipped to know the race we are to run and the rest that refuels.
