You’re invited to Camp Lutherhaven’s Annual Chicken Dinner Sunday, July 22, 2018!
Camp Lutherhaven invites you, your friends, and your family to join us on Sunday, July 22nd, 2018 for our Annual Chicken Dinner! We’ll start the day in the Pavilion with worship at 11:00 a.m. Afterward, we hope you’ll stick around Camp and enjoy the chicken dinner, fun activities, fellowship with friends, and reconnect with former staff members as we celebrate how God is working through the ministry of Camp Lutherhaven.
This year, our guest speaker will be Rev. Thomas Feiertag, who was a camper, work boy, and counselor at Camp Lutherhaven between the years 1962-72. It was at Camp that he decided to study for the pastoral ministry as well as where he met his wife Cindy. He led his first devotions, first Bible classes, and helped lead the Sunday morning worship services at Lutherhaven. This year, June was a big month as Tom and Cindy celebrated 40 years in ministry at his home congregation in Hammond, IN as well as beginning retirement. They served six years in the mission field, 17 in parish ministry and 17 in academia. Cindy and Tom have been blessed with three daughters and five grandchildren.
Once again, we are grateful to have Goeglein’s Catering preparing our dinner. Prices, paid at the door are: Adults (Ages 13+) $9/person Children ages 6-12: $6/person Children 5 & under: free
The dinner will include chicken, vegetables, potato salad, drinks, dinner roll, and dessert. Over the years, funds raised from the proceeds of the Chicken Dinner have assisted many areas of Camp. This year, the funds raised will be used for Camp’s Campership Fund which helps qualifying families better afford a faith camp adventure.

Lutherhaven is partnering with Run Hard. Rest Well. to help people rewrite their personal stories of overload by re-introducing people to Biblical, transformative rhythms of work and rest.
Vantage Point 1/2-day retreats spotlight hope, help and four biblical rhythms of rest – Sabbath, Sleep, Stillness (personal prayer) and Solitude (personal retreat) set in the context of life in the 21st century. Why? So that people of all ages and walks of life are equipped to know the race we are to run and the rest that refuels.
