Homeschool Outdoor Education Program

For the 2020-2021 school year, Camp Lutherhaven is offering a monthly outdoor education program for homeschool families. This program is designed to provide a monthly outdoor education experience to supplement regular educational experiences throughout the year.

This school year, those opportunities will take place on the second Tuesday of each month, except for May which will be the first Tuesday. See the following dates and topics we will cover.

Oct. 13 Wilderness Skills Learn a few basic wilderness survival skills.
Nov. 10 Five Senses Experience the world through the 5 senses.
Dec. 8 Indiana Winter Take a closer look at Indiana during winter.
Jan. 12 Birds of a Feather Come learn about all things bird-related!
Feb. 9 Take a Closer Look Look at the details in the world around us.
Mar. 9 Caring for Creation Learn different ways to take care of the world.
Apr. 13 the Four Elements Focus on air, fire, earth, and water.
May 4 Classic Camp Enjoy the classic camp activities, from archery to canoeing!

Each day will begin at 9am with registration followed by opening songs and a devotion. Four lessons will be taught with time for lunch in the middle before saying goodbye at 3pm. Students will need to bring a sack lunch with them.

Cost for the first student is $15 and $10 for every additional student in the family. This program is for students 3rd through 8th grade. Please send us an email with your families’ contact information, the parent(s) names, and names & grades of the children attending by the 1st of each month.
