You’re invited to Camp Lutherhaven’s Chicken Dinner happening on Sunday, July 23rd, 2023!
The day will begin with worship at 11am in Camp’s open-air Pavilion with the Chicken Dinner to follow. Afterwards, we hope you’ll stick around to enjoy the beachfront, recreational activities, fellowship with friends, and reconnect with former campers and staff members, sharing memories and God’s hand in our lives. Camp Lutherhaven has been touching lives for Jesus for over 70 years. We hope you save the date because we would love to have you lend your voice as we give thanks for God’s continued blessing to the many campers, families, staff, churches, schools, and other organizations that have called Lutherhaven home.
Our guest speaker will be Rev. David Mews, pastor at Guardian Lutheran Church & School in Dearborn, MI. His wife Maggie works at the Lennon Pregnancy Center in Dearborn Heights as their Nurse Manager. They have five children— Regina, Malachi, Thomas, Rachel, and Josiah. David is no stranger to Camp Lutherhaven where he served on summer staff from 2006 through 2008. He greatly enjoyed his time at Camp and grew as a person while serving. Many of the skills David developed at Camp transferred into the Children and Adult Ministries he currently carries out at his Church.
Prices, paid at the door are:
Adults (Ages 13+) $15/person
Children ages 6-12: $10/person
Children 5 & under: free
The dinner will include chicken, vegetables, potato salad, drinks, dinner roll, and dessert.
This year’s Chicken Dinner proceeds will go towards Lutherhaven’s Campership Fund, which fulfills an ongoing, annual need as it provides assistance to families who do not have the financial resources to experience a summer camp program at Lutherhaven. If you can’t make the Chicken Dinner but still wish to help support Camp, please visit our donation page.
