RETREATS

Women’s Retreat

Join other women for a weekend of connection, conversation, and celebration as we begin the new year together. This weekend getaway has become a treasured event for over 30 years and is designed to start your new year off in community with other women who share similar joys and challenges as followers of Jesus.

The purpose of Lutherhaven’s Women’s Retreat is to connect to Christ through learning and refreshment in community and Creation with other women.

WHAT TO EXPECT

A weekend connecting with other women around God’s Word, time of praise & worship, quiet spaces, and lots of laughter!

WEEKEND RETREAT: The weekend retreat begins on Friday night at 7pm and goes through Sunday morning. Ladies can look forward to small group Bible studies, engaging speakers, cozy fires, crafts, and lots of snacks!

UNWIND PRE-RETREAT: Would you like some time to unplug, decompress, and find some margin to unwind as you prepare for the weekend ahead? Sign-up for the Unwind Pre-Retreat where you will have the chance to come as early as 1pm to get unpacked and then find a seat by a fire, go on a quiet winter forest walk, take a nap, do some reading, journal, take a front row seat to watch some of God’s Creation through our large retreat center windows or enjoy some powerful one on one connections. At 4pm there will be a short but meaningful workshop session, followed by a meal together and more open time as the rest of the retreat participants begin to join in for the start at 7pm.

RETREAT THEME

“Live Life with Zest” comes from Galations 5:22-23, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.”  Throughout the weekend, we will focus on the Fruits of the Spirit, what they mean in our lives, and how the Holy Spirit produces them in us through humble obedience.

ABOUT OUR SPEAKER: Joni Rosebrock

Joni Rosebrock is a Bible teacher, author, and host of the WRAP Yourself in the Word podcast, where she helps women know God through His Word and live with joy, confidence, and purpose. She is the creator of the WRAP practice, a simple rhythm in Scripture that grew from her journey of finding hope and healing. Through her book, podcast, retreats, and Rooted in the Word membership, Joni equips women to engage Scripture personally and respond with faithful obedience. She brings biblical depth, practical application, honest storytelling, and humor to every room. Joni lives with her husband, Randy, on their northwest Ohio grain farm, where life includes a 134-year-old renovated farmhouse, 6 grandsons, teas on the front porch, and creative lessons from ordinary moments. Her deepest desire is to help women become rooted in Scripture so they can live Christ-centered lives in a self-focused world.
