Summer Staff
Every year Camp Lutherhaven needs approximately 28 Christian, college-aged, young adults to join the Lutherhaven summer team. Together, this group strives to provide a high quality, Christ-centered, summer camp experience for over 1600 children, youth, and adults.

Ministry Impact
Camp Lutherhaven is pleased to welcome two Ministry Impact Workers this year, Joining Camp’s staff in August were Malinda Standerfer and Jordan Schut. Malinda, or Fritz, has been on summer staff here already 5 summers. She has just completed her 5 year DCE certification. Jordan has been on summer staff for 5 summers as well, but at Camp Luther of Nebraska. In the spring he graduated from Concordia University of Seward, NE as did Malinda. They will help Camp in a variety of ways including outdoor education, hosting retreat groups/events, preparing for summer, and other office and programmatic tasks.
The Ministry Impact position at Camp Lutherhaven runs from August to May. If you or anyone you know might be interested in this unique opportunity, please contact the Camp office. Applications are accepted at any time.
Part-Time Staff
Part-time staff are crucial to Lutherhaven’s daily operation and ongoing mission. Currently Camp has teamed up with Laurie Beck as Head Chef, and Joyce Gage and Sharon Rosswurm for housecleaning help.
Jane Bunn
Jane Bunn transitioned to the position of Bookkeeper in 2016 after re-joining Lutherhaven year-round staff in the fall of 2014. She records and tracks all the accounting and payroll numbers as well as other administrative projects, such as keeping a count of the number of nuts the squirrels keep hiding. This should probably be a full-time job!

Stefanie Brown
Janet Ousley serves as Camp’s Office Administrator, joining our year-round staff in 2016. Lutherhaven is blessed to add Janet to the staff team where she coordinates retreat groups, summer registration as well as keep us all organized. Janet has served in several office environments including youth services and a church district office.

Caleb Krueger
Bob Bickham joined the staff team in 2016 when he became Camp’s first fulltime Site Director. Bob and his wife Lynn are both natives of Michigan where Bob worked in his own construction and masonry company. Bob has been in similar positions at camps, both in Michigan as well as his last venture at Camp Perkins, Idaho. Bob will help maintain and improve Lutherhaven’s 72 acres of facilities, grounds, equipment, and vehicles.

Keith Peters
Celine Newman has been serving full-time at Camp as the Director of Summer and Youth Ministry since 2007. Celine was born and raised in the town of Gallup, NM but has family roots in Ft. Wayne and has been a camper at Lutherhaven beginning in 1990. She attended Concordia University, Irvine with a DCE and Music Education Major. One of her favorite places on Camp is around the campfire hearing people’s stories. Her favorite animal is her dog,Takoda and her favorite campfire recipe is Shepherd’s Stew. Her favorite part about her job is getting to create communities centered around Christ while having the opportunity to play outside in God’s creation.

Tim Jank
Tim Jank formally served as a Director of Christian Education (DCE) near Chicago IL before joining the ministry of Camp Lutherhaven in 1993 as Executive Director. While in college, Tim discovered how exciting and unique outdoor ministry could be after spending three summers at Sonrise Lutheran Outdoor Ministry, a camp in upstate New York. His interests include sports, music, computers, photography, and of course, being a Dad. He and his wife Brenda met at Concordia University, Seward, NE where they both graduated in the DCE program. They have five children; Joshua, Samuel, Joseph, Anna and Noah.
